Key Scripture: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

As August arrives, many of us find ourselves in a season of transition. Summer begins to wind down, students prepare to return to school, families settle into new routines, and we begin looking ahead to the months ahead. It is also a wonderful time to reflect on God’s perfect timing.

Have you ever prayed for something with all your heart and wondered why the answer seemed delayed? Perhaps you’ve prayed for healing, a new job, restored relationships, guidance, or peace during a difficult season. Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of our faith journey. Yet Scripture reminds us that God is never early, never late, and never absent. His timing is always perfect, even when we don’t understand His plan.

Waiting does not mean God has forgotten you. Sometimes He is preparing your heart. Sometimes He is opening doors you cannot yet see. Other times He is protecting you from something that is not meant for you. While we may only see today’s circumstances, God sees the complete picture. Waiting is not wasted time when we place it in God’s hands. It becomes a season of growth, strengthening our faith, teaching us patience, and drawing us closer to Him.

Instead of asking, “Why hasn’t God answered yet?” consider asking:

• What is God teaching me during this season?
• How can I grow closer to Him while I wait?
• Am I trusting His plan more than my own timeline?

Faith means believing that God’s plan is greater than our own, even when the path is unclear. Every season has a purpose, and every delay has the potential to prepare us for something greater than we imagined. As you move through August, remember that every season has its purpose. The prayers you have lifted have not gone unheard. Continue to seek God, remain faithful, and trust that He is working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet see. When the time is right, He will reveal His answer according to His perfect will.
