We cannot control the tests and trials that the Lord allows in our lives, but we can control our reaction to them. Life is hard, and how we react to those difficulties speaks volumes about our spiritual life. We can complain or bless the Lord. In Psalm 34, David wrote that he would bless the Lord at all times, including the good and bad times, in times of lack and abundance. But often, we only bless the Lord when times are good, and we are enjoying abundance. Our praise becomes dependent on our circumstances. However, David had a made-up mind to praise the Lord even when times were bad. He purposed in his heart that he would not let his circumstances dictate his praise. As you wait for the Lord to deliver you from your trials, show Him that you trust Him by blessing Him and praising His name. He is prepared to bless you.
